Yebo is a Zulu word and means ‘yes’.
The song is about Zulu warriors eyeing up young Zulu dancers.
Mahlathini is a black South African and is such a superstar in his country that he is known a ‘The King’.
‘The King’ first worked with the Queens in the ‘60s playing a sort of African rock ‘n’ roll.
The ‘70s saw an emergence of a new sound called ‘mbaqanga’ (pronounced um-ba-kanga) and The Queens performed at Wembly Stadium at the Nelson Mandela Tribute.
