? Yebo is a Zulu word and means ‘yes’.
? The song is about Zulu warriors eyeing up young Zulu dancers.
? Mahlathini is a black South African and is such a superstar in his country that he is known a ‘The King’.
? ‘The King’ first worked with the Queens in the ‘60s playing a sort of African rock ‘n’ roll.
? The ‘70s
saw an emergence of a new sound called ‘mbaqanga’ (pronounced
um-ba-kanga) and The Queens performed at Wembly Stadium at the Nelson
Mandela Tribute.
